Cookie Policy

This document explains which cookies and similar technologies the Beautimess online shop, operated by VitaCore s.r.o., uses, what they are for and how you decide about them. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember, for example, the contents of your bag, your sign-in or your settings. Other technologies work similarly – localStorage, sessionStorage and pixels (measurement tags). We refer to all of them as “cookies”.

Under § 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications, cookies that are not necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested may be stored only with your consent. Consent is voluntary, can be withdrawn at any time, and the shop works fully without it – just without measurement and personalised advertising.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Essential (always active)

The shop doesn't work without them: bag identification, account sign-in, form protection against abuse, remembering your choice in the cookie banner, language and currency selection. The legal basis is our legitimate interest and performance of the contract; no consent is required.

Analytics (only with consent)

They help us understand how the site is used – which products are popular, where visitors leave, whether search works. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) in Consent Mode v2: without consent no identifiers are stored and the data is anonymous and aggregated.

Marketing (only with consent)

They allow us to measure the effectiveness of ads and show you relevant offers on other sites and social networks. We use Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.). If you decline, these tags are not loaded at all.

Functional and preference

They remember, for example, recently viewed products, collapsed sections or a draft comment. We store them only in your browser (localStorage), never send them anywhere and don't link them to your person.

3. Third-party services

• Payment gateway (TatraPay+, Apple Pay, Google Pay) – during payment the gateway may store its own essential cookies to secure the transaction, governed by the bank's or provider's terms.
• Carriers (pick-up point selection) – the carrier's map widget loads only after you click to choose a point.
• Embedded videos and posts (Instagram, YouTube) – shown in enhanced-privacy mode and loaded only after your click.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA (Google, Meta – USA) are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and standard contractual clauses.

4. How to change your choice

1. Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page – the banner reopens and you can switch categories on or off.
2. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge – Privacy section). Blocking essential cookies may prevent purchasing.
3. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

5. Changes to this document

We update the cookie list as services change. We announce a substantial change (new category, new recipient) by showing the cookie banner again and asking for new consent. Questions about cookies and privacy: info@beautimess.sk.
