Newsletter and marketing communication terms

We send news only to people who want it. This document describes how you subscribe, what you receive and how to unsubscribe at any time. It provides the information required by Article 13 GDPR and § 116 of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications.

You subscribe by entering your e-mail in the form on the site, ticking the consent box at registration or checkout, or in your account settings.
After subscribing you receive a confirmation e-mail. The subscription is activated only when you click the link in it (double opt-in). If you don't confirm within 30 days, we delete your address from pending subscriptions. We record the date, time and IP address of the subscription and confirmation as proof of consent.
Under § 116(15) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. we may send existing customers offers of our own similar products without separate consent unless they objected at purchase; an unsubscribe option is in every such e-mail.

2. What we send and how often

News and tips – new collections, guides, magazine articles, usually 2–4 times a month.
Promotions and coupons – discounts, seasonal campaigns, early access for Club members.
Club – Beauties balance, new status, missions, birthday gift (if you entered your date of birth).
Personalised recommendations – based on categories you viewed or bought and your beauty profile (skin/hair type, preferences), if you filled it in.
Reminders – product back in stock (if you set a stock alert), an abandoned bag (only if you consented to news or are our customer), a review request after delivery.

Transactional e-mails (order confirmation, dispatch, invoice, claim, password change) are not marketing – we always send them as part of performing the contract.

3. Personalisation and segmentation

So that we don't send everything to everyone, we group subscribers into segments by: Club status, time since the last purchase, favourite categories, number of orders and reactions to previous e-mails (opens, clicks). We process this data on the basis of your newsletter consent or our legitimate interest in direct marketing to customers. This is not automated decision-making with legal effects; you can object to segmentation by e-mail to info@beautimess.sk – you then receive only general news.

4. Unsubscribing

Every e-mail has an Unsubscribe link – it works with one click, no sign-in needed. We also support the List-Unsubscribe header, so your e-mail client (Gmail, Apple Mail) offers unsubscribing directly.
You can also unsubscribe in your account settings or by e-mail to info@beautimess.sk. We process it immediately; an e-mail already sent may still arrive.
After unsubscribing we keep your address on the suppression list (hash only) so we don't contact you again by mistake.

5. Data processing and recipients

The controller is VitaCore s.r.o.. We send e-mails through our own system and the e-mail infrastructure of contracted processors in the EU; opens and clicks are measured via an invisible image and tracking links (you can block them in your e-mail client). We keep the data for the duration of the subscription and 3 years after unsubscribing to prove consent. Your rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection) are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Competitions and welcome gifts

If a subscription is linked to a competition or a welcome coupon, the Competition rules and the conditions stated with the coupon apply. A welcome coupon is single-use, tied to the e-mail you subscribed with, and cannot be combined with other coupons.
