Accessibility statement

VitaCore s.r.o., the company behind the Beautimess brand, is committed to making its Beautimess online stores (Slovak, Czech and English) accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act) as transposed by Slovak Act No. 351/2022 Coll. and Czech Act No. 424/2023 Coll. This statement covers the whole store, including search, cart, checkout and the customer account.

Compliance status

This online store is partially conformant with EN 301 549 and Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 due to the non-conformances listed below. The interfaces we were able to verify meet the Level A and AA criteria; a few specific elements and third-party content do not yet.

What works: a visible keyboard focus indicator on every control, a “Skip to content” link, landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer), full keyboard operation of the mega menu, mobile menu, search, sign-in and cookie banner including Escape and focus trapping in dialogs, screen-reader announcements for cart changes and form errors, text contrast of at least 4.5:1 in both light and dark mode, respect for the reduced-motion preference, and 200 % zoom without horizontal scrolling.

Non-accessible content and known limitations

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons (non-conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA). We are working on fixes and update this list at every review.

Product-gallery thumbnails on the product page have no text name for screen readers and are announced as unnamed buttons (WCAG 4.1.2). The main image and its description remain available.
In dark mode the “last units” notice on product cards and the selected size/colour option on the product page have insufficient contrast (WCAG 1.4.3). They pass in light mode.
Product headings in category listings skip a level (H1 → H3) (WCAG 1.3.1, best practice). Content stays readable; heading navigation is just less tidy.
Information pages (terms, shipping, returns) and magazine articles are managed in a CMS; we review heading structure and image alternative text in this content on an ongoing basis but cannot guarantee that every document has been updated yet.
Third-party content – the payment gateway at checkout, embedded Instagram posts and the homepage intro video – is outside our control and may not meet every criterion. The video is decorative, silent and carries no information that is not also available as text.
Alternative text on some product photos is generic (the product name) rather than a description of the specific shot (WCAG 1.1.1). We are adding these gradually as the catalogue is updated.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 16 September 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment: an automated axe-core test (WCAG 2.1 A/AA rules) of the homepage, a category page, a product page, the cart, account, wishlist, contact, magazine and B2B section in both light and dark mode, supplemented by manual keyboard, screen-reader, contrast and zoom checks. The statement was last reviewed on 16 September 2026.

In Slovakia, accessibility of e-commerce services under Act No. 351/2022 Coll. is supervised by the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI), Bajkalská 21/A, 827 99 Bratislava, www.soi.sk. In the Czech Republic, supervision under Act No. 424/2023 Coll. is carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, www.coi.cz.

This statement concerns a private online store. Public-sector websites fall under a separate regime (Slovak Act No. 95/2019 Coll., supervised by the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation; Czech Act No. 99/2019 Coll.), which does not apply to us.
