Product care

Proper care extends the life of every piece and is a condition for a claim being accepted – a defect caused by incorrect care is not a defect. Specific instructions are always on the label or in the manual; these are general principles.

Jewellery

• Put on last, take off first. Perfume, hairspray, creams and sunscreen damage the surface and gold plating.
• 316L surgical steel – doesn't rust, tolerates water; clean with soapy water and a soft cloth.
• 925 silver – tarnishes naturally by oxidation; polish with a silver cloth. Store in a closed pouch, ideally with an anti-humidity sachet.
• Gold-plated jewellery – the plating is a thin layer; don't wear it in the shower, pool, sauna or to bed and don't polish abrasively. With daily wear the plating lasts months to years depending on thickness (stated in the description); we can arrange re-plating.
• Pearls, stones and natural materials – dry or slightly damp cloth only, no chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners.
• Store jewellery separately so it doesn't scratch or tangle. Fasten chains before putting them away.

Bags and leather accessories

• Genuine leather – treat with a leather balm 1–2× a year, protect from prolonged sun and rain; let a soaked bag dry naturally (not on a radiator) and stuff it with paper to keep its shape.
• PU / vegan leather – wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap; no alcohol or solvents. Don't store in heat and humidity.
• Textile, canvas, cotton – spot-clean with a mild cleaner; if the bag is washable we say so (30 °C, no tumble dryer). Don't iron prints.
• Hardware – wipe with a dry cloth; run a pencil over the zip occasionally to keep it gliding.
• Don't overload straps (we state the recommended load) and store the bag in its dust bag, not hanging by the strap.

Clothing and Tamitos beanies

• Follow the label symbols. Wash most pieces inside out at 30 °C with a mild detergent, without fabric softener for functional and wool materials.
• Knitted beanies (acrylic, wool, cotton) – by hand or in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle; dry flat, shaped back to the original form. Remove a detachable faux-fur pompom before washing and fluff it after drying.
• Caps – brush off dirt with soapy water, don't machine wash (the peak deforms), dry on a head or bowl.
• Don't iron prints and embroidery directly; iron inside out. Don't tumble dry unless the label expressly allows it.
• Pilling on knitwear is normal with natural fibres – remove it with a fabric shaver; it's not a defect.

Cosmetics

• Store in a dry place at 5–25 °C, away from direct sun and heat sources (not on a windowsill or in a car). Keep products with vitamin C, retinol and natural oils in the dark after opening, or in the fridge if the manufacturer says so.
• Respect the PAO (open-jar symbol, e.g. 12M = 12 months after opening) and the best-before date. A change in smell, colour or texture means the end of usability.
• Take product from jars with clean hands or a spatula and close lids right after use. Don't share eye and face products.
• Wash brushes and sponges weekly with mild shampoo and dry flat.

Beauty devices (dryers, curlers, straighteners, massage and cleansing devices)

• Read the manual before first use; keep it with the proof of purchase.
• Unplug and let the device cool before cleaning. Wipe heated surfaces with a damp cloth without chemicals; a cloth with a little alcohol removes hairspray build-up (not on coated ceramic plates).
• Clean the dryer filter monthly (dust reduces performance and overheats the motor).
• Don't wrap the cord tightly around the device, don't pull the plug by the cord, don't put a hot device on textiles.
• Charge battery devices with the supplied cable; don't leave them fully discharged for long. Rinse waterproof (IPX7) devices; never immerse the others.
• Regularly clear hair and dirt from devices with combs or attachments (e.g. the smart comb).

Candles, ceramics and décor

• Let a candle burn until the whole top layer melts the first time (2–3 h) to avoid tunnelling; trim the wick to 5 mm. Never leave unattended, keep away from children and pets.
• Handmade ceramics – small glaze irregularities are a sign of handcraft. Wash by hand unless stated dishwasher-safe; don't microwave if it has metallic details.

When something breaks

If a defect appears despite proper care, you have 2 years to claim (Complaints Policy). For mechanical damage outside the warranty we're happy to advise on repair or spare parts.
